Have you or a loved one had one of the following experiences, or similar?

- Mis-judged that last step on the stairs and taken a tumble?
- Had to muster all your strength to get up from being on the floor?
- Completely forgotten an appointment you made just a day or two ago?
- Worried, because those simple crossword puzzles have become confusing over the years?
Worried you won’t be in charge much longer? Time to take action. Time to move forward with activities that raise your pulse mildly and stimulate your coordination and reflexes. Yes, regular 20-25 minute walks a few times a week will go a long way to improving your strength and confidence.
What if you have mobility issues? What if you can’t walk long? Then walk some, even in circles around the inside of your home. Add the home stereo with your favorite music to make the time more enjoyable.
What about the computer and games for keeping your mind and reflexes sharp? Yes, there are many games and programs that you may find addicting. There are other technologies to help keep your fitness time fun. What about sharing your exercise with friends in other cities, by both panting in a cordless headset on the phone? You know, the buddy system of safety and accountability.
I hope to explore these issues and more in upcoming posts, so stay tuned for valuable, specific tips that will have great benefit in establishing your fitness time and health!
To your continued health!
